New 2011 Maruti Swift petrol/diesel India launch details

Maruti Suzuki India on its way to introduce the 2011 model of its super hit hatchback, Maruti Swift. According to Maruti the new 2011 Swift will hit Indian roads on 17th August.

2011 Maruti Swift Engine options

The new 2011 Maruti Swift comes in both petrol and diesel engine.The petrol engine was newly crafted one but the diesel engine was the same as in 2010 model which is finely tuned to produce better efficiency.

The new petrol engine is a 1298cc VTT engine which is capable of generating a maximum torque of 93 bhp at 6000 rpm and a 118 Nm of torque at 4800 rpm.The petrol engine 2011 Swift model can attain a top speed of 160 kmph and takes 10 seconds to reach 0-100 kmph mark.

The diesel engine option is a turbo-charged 1248cc DDiS Diesel engine producing 75 bhp at 4000 rpm as max power and 190 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm.

There is a lot of new design features added in the upcoming new 2011 swift including new bigger head lamps with better looking, round shaped fog lamps, new peeled back tail lamps, new front and rear bumpers and new front grille.Comming to interior new centre console with dash integrated music system, new steering wheel with music/telephone controls, silver and black color finished instrument cluster.

Added Technologies

The new 2011 Maruti Swift comes will a lot of integrated technologies that adds a great comfort and convenience to its occupants.The features includes dash integrated music system, automatic climate control system, driver seat height adjuster, 12V accessory socket in the luggage area,power windows, electromagnetic type tailgate opener, steering mounted audio controls, power sterring with adjustment, remote central locking, rear washer/wiper and defogger and possibly even the  push button start/stop system.
